Master Chef Daryl Shular 

Shular Institute | President and Director of Education

Certified Master Chef Daryl Shular is not only one of the most talented and respected chefs in the country, but he is also one of America’s elite History Makers!  In 2014 Chef Shular etched his name in the culinary history books by becoming the first African-American and minority to successfully pass the grueling 130-hour; eight-day test known as the Master Chef exam.

Years of preparation and personal sacrifice Chef Shular prevailed and earned the culinary industry’s highest honor, the designation known as Certified Master Chef (CMC).

Sean Rush 

Shular Institute | Vice-President

Sean is a 25-year marketing and branding professional with experience in a variety of industries, including radio, apparel, print media, music and film, telecommunications, and education.

He is most notably known for his senior leadership in the Le Cordon Bleu North American marketing department, where he managed and launched many multi-million dollar national and international campaigns. During his 12 years with the brand, he held the title of Marketing Director and was credited with having a key role in earning the parent company Career Education Corporation over $1.7 billion in revenue through the Le Cordon Bleu brand.

Brandon Worix

Brigade Milwaukee | Program Director

Brandon Worix holds a bachelor of science in Business Management from National Louis University. He is the father of 4 children who loves to create music, work out, attend church, and read.

Brandon Worix has experience in dealing with food vendors, sign companies, beverage companies, village departments, health inspectors, local press, media, and graphic artists. Under his leadership, the business generated over 6k on grand opening day and over 60k first month.

The surfs up Mundelein location made $115k in the first few months of business earning the title highest grand opening in surfs up history. It is his goal to expand the franchise into the Wisconsin market. Currently, Mr. Worix functions as Program Director and liaison to the Shular Institute.

Chef Malina Schweinert

Brigade Milwaukee | Lead Instructor 

Chef Malina is a Certified ServSafe Instructor and Proctor. An experienced licensed educator with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. She earned a Culinary Management degree from MATC in 2018.
For the last 5 years, she taught Culinary Arts to adults and youth in Milwaukee, West Allis, and in the Southwest region of the U.S. With over  20 years of industry experience, she is in the process of opening a food truck that will serve Halal Fusion Cuisine.

Chef Williams Brigade Atlanta

Chef Williams

Brigade Atlanta | Lead Instructor 

Chef Williams is a culinary arts teacher at Tri-Cities high school in Atlanta,  who is passionate about teaching young people the culinary arts.

She started her baking business in high school and worked as an operations supervisor for AirTran Airways before attending the Art Institutes of Atlanta. She is excited to be a part of Brigade MKE and help students develop their skills and confidence in the kitchen.

For the last 5 years, she taught Culinary Arts to adults and youth in Milwaukee, West Allis, and in the Southwest region of the U.S. With over  20 years of industry experience, she is in the process of opening a food truck that will serve Halal Fusion Cuisine.

Chef ZaZA

Brigade Atlanta | Instructor

Chef Za is a founder, cookbook author, and content creator based in Atlanta, Georgia. She combines her personality with her love for travel and fresh ingredients to curate memorable culinary experiences that drive impact. Eager to translate her love for cooking into a business, she founded Zaza’s Kitchen.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Spelman College, a Food and Nutrition Teacher Certificate from Columbia University, and a Health Coaching certificate from the Integrative Institute of Nutrition.
